- You will own the introduction and automation of new car computer hardware for engineering
- Meet bring-up deadlines of never-before-seen products
- Update existing automation software systems to support new hardware
- Learn and understand the Tesla car computer Linux operating system
- Create and own new software systems to provide Tesla teams with working products
- Support development and validation of factory critical software systems
- Develop relationships with SW/HW engineers, technicians and PMs to understand their needs
- Oversee the Tesla car computer prototype lab to streamline builds and bring-up
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study with a graduation date between August 2025-2026
- Experience with bash/shell and Linux
- Experience adding to an existing codebase with at least some formal programming language (Python, Golang, C/C++, Perl etc)
- Basic knowledge of git and using it with an existing codebase
- Low-level programing experience to interact with hardware
- Strong communication skills
- Electrical debugging skills (using oscilloscope and multimeter)
- Computer networking experience via ethernet or other protocols
